Charlie Sheen is looking to capitalize on all of the media and fan attention he’s received through nonsensical rants by taking his act on the road. Now free from Two and a Half Men, Sheen will be performing shows in Chicago and Detroit under the name, “Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth.” Clearly, Sheen is attempting to cash in on the media and fan frenzy he’s created, and given the attention he’s drawn so far, the strategy is likely to work.
According to Sheen’s new publicist, Larry Solters (longtime publicist Stan Rosenfield resigned when the rants began), the Tiger blood-infused actor has already started rehearsing. According to Sheen, the live show will provide “the REAL story” of Charlie Sheen. No word on who will be portraying the trolls that litter the mythology of Charlie Sheen, and Solters explained that he could not tell anyone what the nature of the shows would be.
So, would you see “Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth”? Is seeing a maniacal Charlie Sheen worth paying for, or is he only entertaining when his ridiculous rants are free, streamed directly to your computer? If so, does that make Charlie Sheen the entertainment equivalent of a fortune cookie? Discuss these pressing questions and more in the comments, or find us on Twitter (@Bloginity).
