Pois bem, a Ronn Motors, uma empresa situada no Texas, nos Estados Unidos, pode ter resolvido esse problema. A marca criou o Scorpion, um belo superesportivo híbrido que leva, no mesmo motor, compartimentos para dois tipos de combustível: hidrogênio e gasolina. E como isso funciona? Simples: em um dos reservatórios, as moléculas de água são transformadas em hidrogênio, que só é utilizado quando requerido. Depois disso, o material passa pela admissão e se mistura com a proporção de 30% a 40% com a gasolina dentro das câmaras de combustão do propulsor 3.5 litros VTEC. Para ter o desempenho de seis 6 cilindros otimizados, o propulsor passou a ter dois turbos e um intercooler. Na prática, isso significa um aumento de 280 cv de potência originais do propulsor da Acura para 450 cv. Com isso tudo que foi explicado, o automóvel consegue ir de 0 a 100 km/h em impressionantes 3,5 segundos. Outro ponto forte do modelo é seu consumo, de apenas 17 km/litro, algo difícil de ser visto em um superesportivo. A Ronn pretende iniciar a venda do Scorpion nos próximos meses, por um preço de aproximadamente US$ 150 000.
