Pais de Madaleine apóiam iniciativa para localizar crianças

A ONG britânica "Missing People" lançou iniciativa pela ocasião do Dia Internacional das Crianças Desaparecidas

LONDRES - Os pais de Madeleine McCann expressaram seu apoio a uma iniciativa que pretende utilizar redes sociais como Facebook e Bebo para procurar crianças desaparecidas, como sua própria filha, Madeleine.

"Apoiamos firmemente a iniciativa de utilizar o Facebook para chamar a atenção sobre crianças desaparecidas", afirmam Kate e Gerry McCann, citados pela emissora "BBC".

A "Missing People" também colaborará com a portal "Be Cause" da rede social Bebo, que dá informação sobre organizações beneficentes e grupos de ativistas dedicados a essa causa.

Só no último ano, Bebo foi contatada por 13.000 pessoas interessadas em crianças e adolescentes desaparecidos, 2.000 deles de menos de 13 anos.
