FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – Police seized marijuana and chocolate candies laced with a hallucinogenic drug in a raid at a Friendswood home last week, investigators said Monday.
Around 3 p.m. on February 11, Friendswood police executed a narcotics search warrant in the 800 block of Briarmeadow Avenue.
The warrant was a result of a months-long investigation into the alleged sale of marijuana and other drugs at that home and at other locations in the city.
Police said they found 1.215 ounces of hydroponic marijuana, 355.5 grams of chocolate candies containing psilocybin – a psychedelic drug extracted from a mushroom, drug paraphernalia, scales and cash in the home.
Investigators said they also found several small plastic baggies of pot that were ready for distribution.
Kory Allen Long, 19, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver – a first-degree felony.
He was booked into the Friendswood City Jail and later transferred to the Galveston County Jail, where his bond was set at $20,000.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
