(April 14) - Don't blame the Russian singer for the Mel Gibson split.

That's the word coming out of the camp of singer Oksana Kolesnikova. A representative for the singer told TMZ:

"Sorry to hear about Mel Gibson's divorce. Somehow Oksana is being linked to Mr. Gibson, but there are no emotional ties between the two that I am aware of. Oksana has in the past entertained Mr. Gibson with her piano music as he dined at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Yes, I definitely welcome the opportunity to set the record straight, our Oksana is not romantically involved with Mr. Gibson."

According to the pianist's rep (via TMZ) ''Oksana has in the past entertained Mr. Gibson with her piano music as he dined at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Yes, I definitely welcome the opportunity to set the record straight, our Oksana is not romantically involved with Mr. Gibson.''

Kolesnikova's biography on her Web site mentions the pianist's multiple accomplishments as well as the Polo Lounge gig, where she performs up to five nights a week. No mention is made of the photo scandal reported by RadarOnline.com last month, which placed Gibson and Kolesnikova on a beach in Costa Rica. Radar also reported that the singer was spotted close to the set of the upcoming Gibson thriller 'Edge of Darkness.'

Now the singer's denial comes quickly as word swirls that Mel Gibson's divorce from his wife of 28 years, Robyn, could be one of Hollywood's most costliest splits ever. Without any sign of a prenuptial agreement, Ms. Gibson could go after half of the actor's earnings from 1980 onward which is estimated to reach the $1 billion mark.

"This could easily be one of the biggest divorce settlements in Hollywood history," says Los Angeles family lawyer Lynn Soodik to PEOPLE. "Any attorney would advise her to take half." Soodik, PEOPLE notes, is not a representative of either of the Gibsons.

The Gibsons cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.

In a statement released by the couple, they say the following: "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so."

A PEOPLE source claims that the two have actually been separated for three years, having gone their separate ways following Gibson's 2006 DUI arrest. The infamous bust was accompanied by an anti-Semitic rant by Gibson.

There have been reports that Mel Gibson was having an affair with a Russian singer and that it played a part in the break up of his marriage -- Mel has denied it, and now the singer is sounding off too.

TMZ spoke with a rep for Oksana Kolesnikova, who gave us the following statement: "Sorry to hear about Mel Gibson's divorce. Somehow Oksana is being linked to Mr. Gibson, but there are no emotional ties between the two that I am aware of.
