Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have confirmed they are headed towards divorce.

After living in not-so-wedded-bliss for 72 days, Kim filed for divorce this morning and has already confirmed that the rumors are true.

DETAILS: Kim Kardashian Files For Divorce From Kris Humphries

Kim's close friend and Keeping Up with the Kardashians producer Ryan Seacrest also confirmed the divorce to be true on his radio show today saying,

“There are reports online that Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce. That is true...she is filing for divorce from Kris Humphries this morning. I’ve spoken to her briefly, and she is sad and got caught up in all that was going on [in the wedding]. We’re going to have a statement from Kim in just a little while. There were rumors up until the wedding, and after the wedding a lot of rumors about it. It is true.”

Kim confirmed, stating:

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.“

Kim Kardashian Statement Released On Divorce With Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce on Monday.

Shortly after Ryan Seacrest said it was true, Kardashian confirmed the news herself and released this statement to E! News:

"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."

TMZ first reported the news that Kardashian was splitting with husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.

Kardashian and Humphries were married in August and their wedding was broadcast to the world earlier this month.
