Senior CPC official vows to advance ties with Brazil






BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Publicity chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Liu Yunshan on Wednesday met with Rui Falcao, the chairman of Brazil's ruling Workers' Party (PT), vowing to advance the China-Brazil bilateral strategic partnership.
Falcao came to Beijing to attend the fourth CPC-PT joint seminar.
Liu, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, praised the development of bilateral relations, stating that they have featured frequent high-level exchanges, deepened political mutual trust and expanded cooperation in economics, trade, science, education and culture.
Liu said the CPC is willing to enhance its exchanges with the PT on the basis of the principles of independence, complete equality, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.
Falcao said the administration of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff attaches great importance to its relations with China and will work with China to boost the China-Brazil bilateral strategic partnership.
The PT is willing to strengthen its relations with China and exchange experience regarding party-building and state governance, Falcao said.
