Police in search for vulnerable missing woman

Police in Birmingham are concerned for the welfare of a 64-year-old woman who has been missing from the Queen Elizabeth hospital since 05:30 am this morning (Thursday 19 May 2011).

Doreen Underhill is considered to be particularly vulnerable as she has depression and a thyroid condition and is in need of her medication and medical attention.

Doreen was last seen at the Queen Elizabeth this morning and was wearing a green t-shirt, and brown trousers.

Dorren who is from Kings Heath, is described as white, 4ft11, is of a small build with light brown shoulder length hair.

It is thought that Doreen might head towards the Lickey Hills as this is where she often spends time with her family.

Inspector Chris Gittins, from Bournville police station, said: "We are extremely concerned for the welfare of Doreen as she is suffering with depression and is also in need of medication for a thyroid condition. Doreen is extremely vulnerable due to her state of mind and we would ask that if anyone sees a woman matching the description of Doreen to contact us immediately on 0345 113 5000 ."

Anyone with information as to Doreen's whereabouts is asked to call officers at Bournville police station on 0345 113 5000 .
