A DRUG which makes eyelashes longer and thicker is to hit the beauty market.
In trials, women who used Latisse drops saw their lashes grow 25 per cent longer, 106 per cent thicker and 18 per cent darker.
Latisse will cost around £80 for a 30-day treatment.
The drops, which are dabbed on the lashes, are set to go on sale in the US this month.
They are likely to be available in the UK soon after.
If Latisse is stopped, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance as new ones grown in.
Side-effects can include eye redness - and a permanent browning of the iris.
