With an age gap of 20 years between them, Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron make an unexpected pairing in their upcoming 1960s-set thriller The Paperboy. The first poster for the film has just been released, and it's quite the teaser indeed (view full poster below).

We get a glimpse at Efron's newly enormous bicep and his floppy blonde-highlighted hair, part of the retro look for his character Jack.

Efron plays the younger brother of a reporter (Matthew McConaughey, lurking in the background of the poster, and much more clothed than the new pic of him as a stripper in Magic Mike) investigating a murder and trying to free a man on death row.
Kidman rocks a blonde do as a woman who writes to men in jail, and naturally, she's got a shady past too.
What we're really waiting to see are Kidman and Efron's hinted-at love scenes, of which Efron told E! News, "we get to really have some fun".
Directed by Lee Daniels (Precious), The Paperboy is due out in 2012.
