Dutch police arrests 4 in FBI hacker probe

THE HAGUE, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Four members of the group Anonymous Hackers were arrested in the Netherlands in an investigation launched by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Fourteen others were arrested in the meanwhile within the United States, and one was captured in Britain in the operation, Dutch press agency ANP reported on Wednesday.

The FBI investigation was focusing on an attack upon the Internet payment system PayPal.

The hacker group alledgedly conducted attacks on PayPal after the company refused to channel payments to the whistleblower website Wikileaks.

Anonymous claimed to be responsible for attacks on websites including credit card companies Visa and MasterCard.
