MOSCOW, April 7 (Itar-Tass) - The police confiscated a homemade bomb and a pistol from a car driver on the Kutuzovsky Avenue in Moscow, a source in the Moscow law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Thursday. “The police and the Federal Guard Service stopped a Mercedes car with a 44-year-old resident of Kalmykia behind the wheel at 35/30, Kutuzovsky Avenue on Wednesday evening,” the source said. “A loaded TT pistol produced in 1949 and with a 7.62-mm caliber was confiscated from him in a checkup,” the source said. “A homemade bomb made of two plastid charges approximately 200 grams each with such striking pieces as bolts, self-tapping screws and a fuse made of a cable from the mobile phone charger was found in the car luggage compartment,” the source said. The bomb disposal technicians defused the bomb and passed its pieces for a criminal expertise. A criminal case was opened over the incident. |
