5.7-magnitude quake hits Mindoro, Philippines -- USGS

MANILA, May 23 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted Mindoro, Philippines at 16:42:23 GMT on Monday (00:42:23 local time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 134.80 km, was initially determined to be at 13.6689 degrees north latitude and 120.7197 degrees east longitude.
