High heel is definitely a great invention in global fashion history. When a woman wears a pair of eight-feet-high shoe, she may become more confident and slender. However, it seems that not only women loves high-heeled shoes, men do so.

For example, Tom Cruise's height has been a frequent target of unkind jests of paparazzi. His high-profile marriages to statuesque women (Nicole Kidman, 1.78m; Katie Holmes, 1.75m) made him look like even shorter. But during the recent promotion of his new movie "Knight and Day", Cruise's height seemed to be quite fluctuant, when he stood besides former model Cameron Diaz (1.75m).
