In DF, the PT asks candidates reinforcement of federal troops

BRASILIA - The PT candidate for governor of the Federal District, Agnelo Queiroz, announced after the discussion of Rede Globo, the last of the first round, which will apply to the Electoral reinforcement of federal troops to ensure security during the elections next Sunday. According to Queiroz, there is a coordinated action of the militia to threaten candidates and activists. According Agnelo, the request for federal troops is the last resort to ensure peaceful elections.

The request, however, still depends on the analysis of the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), which holds the prerogative to seek or not to send federal troops. Since the beginning of the campaign, are recorded episodes of violence between militants.
