TOKYO, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 87 yen level Thursday morning in Tokyo.

The dollar bought 87.15-18 yen at midday, down from 87.41-51 yen in New York and 88.03-05 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro was quoted at 1.2997-3001 dollars and 113.28-31 yen, against 1.2990-3000 dollars and 113.62-72 yen in New York and 1. 2990-2993 dollars and 114.36-40 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday.
