LOS ANGELES - Arnold Schwarzenegger's housekeeper separated from her husband in 1997 - just three weeks after her reported love child with her boss was born.
And Schwarzenegger's youngest child with estranged wife Maria Shriver was born the same week as the out-of-wedlock baby boy - giving him two sons in five days.
The hidden dramas that took place 13 years ago are now exploding into public view.
The Daily News learned Wednesday that 50-year-old housekeeper Mildred "Patty" Baena split from her husband, Rogelio de Jesus Baena, on Oct. 23, 1997. Their divorce was not finalized until 2008.
Court paper say they had no children.
According to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ.com, Baena's son was born Oct. 2, three weeks before the separation, which they blamed on "irreconcileable differences."
Schwarzenegger's second son with Shriver, Christopher, was born Sept. 27.
The secret apparently was kept until this month, when Schwarzenegger finally confessed to having a love child.
His admission came only after Baena threatened to go public with details of the steamy affair, it was reported Wednesday.
"She admitted to friends how she finally wanted to tell the secret - that she had kept faithfully for 14 years - to the world," a confidante of Baena told Radaronline.com and Star Magazine.
The threat led Schwarzenegger to fire Baena.
He then confessed to Shriver, and the two announced their separation shortly afterwards.

Schwarzenegger went public with his bombshell betrayal in a statement Tuesday.
"After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," he said. "I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."
According to The Los Angeles Times, Baena retired from the family's household staff in January on good terms with a severance package.
But Radaronline.com and Star Magazine reported that a furious Baena was let go just four weeks ago after threatening to go public.
Baena described herself as a "proud parent" with a body type that included "some extra baggage" in a MySpace.com profile that included photos of her with a young boy.
The boy bears more than a passing resemblance to the "Terminator" actor, with an eerily similar gap-toothed grin and flowing sandy blond curls like Schwarzenegger's "Conan" character.
Baena bought a new four-bedroom house with a pool about two hours north of Los Angeles last year.
The longtime employee struck up a sexual relationship with Schwarzenegger in the late 1990s and didn't tell the actor he was the father until the boy was a toddler, TMZ reported.
"This is a painful and heartbreaking time," Maria Shriver said in a brief statement issued after Schwarzenegger admitted siring a child out of wedlock.
"As a mother, my concern is for the children," she said. "I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal."

Two of the couple's four children took to Twitter.
"This is definitely not easy but I appreciate your love and support as i begin to heal and move forward in life. I will always love my family," wrote eldest child Kristina Schwarzenegger, 21.
Her brother Patrick then quoted music lyrics saying "some days you feel like s--t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit."
"I don't think Maria suspected it. This was obviously a trusted person in her life, someone who stuck around for a decade after this event," Kennedy expert Laurence Leamer, author of the Schwarzenegger biography "Fantastic," told the Daily News.
"What's appalling is that Arnold apparently did this in the house. It's really a double betrayal for Maria. It's just creepy," he said.
The former Mr. Universe, now trying to stage a Hollywood comeback, battled accusations of sexual misconduct during his initial run for the California governor's office, and his crude sexual advances have been an open secret in Hollywood for decades.
Shriver, 55, stood by Schwarzenegger and vouched for his integrity, all but sealing his election victory.
After admission of his infidelity, a 2003 story in the London Daily Mail that claimed Schwarzenegger fathered a son with his personal flight attendant Tammy Tousignant quickly resurfaced.
"It's not his child," a legal source close to the Tousignant family told the News.
The source confirmed "scientific tests" disproved Schwarzenegger's paternity years ago.
Shriver moved out of the family's Brentwood mansion weeks ago and reportedly met with a financial advisor to prepare for a possible divorce filing, TMZ reported.
