6.0-magnitude earthquake hits Vanuatu

HONG KONG, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Vanuatu at 0335 GMT on Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Vanuatu today, according to the US Geological Survey.

There was no immediate tsunami warning.

The quake hit 155km from Port Vila, Vanuatu at a depth of 17.8km.
