ANKARA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Multinational military air exercise Anatolian Falcon 2010-2 will be held at the third air base in the province of Konya of the central Turkey between June 7 and 18, Turkish military said in a statement posted on its website on Monday. The Turkish military said that in addition to 39 jets of the Turkish Air Forces, the United States would join the exercise with 10 F-15 jets, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with 6 Mirage-2000-9 jets, Italy with 5 AMX jets, Spain with 6 F-18 jets and NATO with 1 E-3A Awacs plane. The first Anatolian Falcon exercise took place between April 28 and May 16, 2008, while the second was held between June 9 and 20 the same year with the participation of jets from Turkey, the United States, Jordan, the UAE and NATO. Air forces of foreign commands show great interest in the exercise since the Third Air Base in Konya has the largest training area in Europe.
