The Secretary of State for Health opened an inquiry River to investigate the case of a woman presumed dead after being admitted to a hospital in Duque de Caxias (SUS Unified Health System), in the Baixada Fluminense.

The old State Hospital came to Adam Nunes Pereira on Friday at 10 am, an ambulance brought by Samu Duque de Caxias diagnosed with lung infection. According to the department, the patient no longer spoke, had committed the motor system and a history of multiple strokes (stroke) in the last eight years.

Afternoon Celestrino had a new stroke. The condition worsened, and at 19.20 and the doctor on duty made a finding of death.

During the recognition of the body, the family realized the patient was moving and told the hospital staff, which led immediately to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) where Celestrino remains hospitalized.

The direction of the hospital is investigating the case. The doctor resigned and the other professionals involved have been removed.
