official: Warner Bros TV and Charlie Sheen have settled their legal
dispute stemming from Sheen’s $100 million lawsuit against the studio
and Two and a Half Men executive producer Chuck Lorre over the actor’s March firing from the show. Here is the official statement:“Warner Bros. Television, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen have resolved their dispute to the parties’ mutual satisfaction. The pending lawsuit and arbitration will be dismissed as to all parties. The parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality over the terms of the settlement.”Financial details on the settlement were not released, but sources indicate that the initial payment to Sheen would be in the previously floated range of $25 million. Since Sheen had not been paid following his termination, the settlement amount is said to primarily cover backend participation owed to him. Additionally, with the eight seasons of Two and a Half Men starring Sheen continuing their syndication run, he is expected to continue to receive payments — though the total will likely not reach the $100 million he was seeking in the lawsuit for wrongful termination. The settlement comes as Sheen’s new sitcom, Anger Management, is being taken out by Lionsgate TV to potential buyers (see Charlie Sheen Cleans Up His Act Ahead Of Taking New Series To Buyers).

El controvertido actor, que fue despedido de la serie `Dos hombres y medio' a comienzos de año debido a su comportamiento, encontró "raro" ver la serie tras haber pasado siete años en ella, pero quedó "impresionado".
"Era una noche importante para todos la del pasado lunes, para `Dos hombres y medio', para nosotros, para mí. Creo que todo el mundo ganó. Creo que el capítulo estuvo realmente bien. Creo que [Ashton] estuvo increíble", contó a 'Access Hollywood'.
"Era raro verlo, pero sí, durante la mayor parte del tiempo estuve realmente impresionado con lo que hicieron", añadió.
Charlie espera que `Dos hombres y medio' sea un éxito sin él y admite que parece que fuera una nueva serie.
Hablando sobre el que fuera su compañero en la serie, Jon Cryer, quien interpreta a Alan Harper, aseguró: "Jon es Jon. Es un genio. Creo que la serie ha tenido una buena oportunidad. Parecía un piloto. Parecía un buen piloto".
El primer episodio, que atrajo a unos 27.8 millones de espectadores, comenzó con el funeral del personaje que interpretaba Charlie, que había muerto atropellado en el metro de París. Pero no va a ser el único funeral de sí mismo al que Charlie asista este año.
"Este va ser el funeral al que más personas han atendido de todos los tiempos. Y es interesante porque estoy haciendo una película con Roman Coppola y ahí hay también una escena de funeral. Así que soy una persona que tiene que sobrevivir a su propio funeral dos veces en el mismo año. Es emocionante, es divertido, es falso", explicó.
