Car accidents kill 11 in Argentina

BUENOS AIRES, July 24 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people were killed and 24 others injured on Sunday in a multiple collision among seven cars that circulated in national route 3 in Las Flores about 150 kilometers northeast of capital Buenos Aires, local police said.

The police confirmed the deaths and said that 10 of the injured were sent to different public hospitals in the area for treatment and others were sent to their homes.

The police, who are investigating the accident, said that due to a dense fog, five medium cars, a van and a bus were hard to moving on and were involved in the accident.

The police department Chief Juan Carlos Paggi saud that "a van collided with a bus and then the tragedy was happened," adding that "the injured people were sent to hospitals in General Belgrano, Las Floresy Monte and a little girl was sent to the Blue hospital."

The police said the traffic is still not resumed despite workers are cleaning the area after the accidents.
