HONG KONG, May 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Andaman islands, India, at 0855 GMT on Sunday, said the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter, at the depth of 35 km, was initially determined to be at 14.405 degrees north latitude and 93.179 degrees east longitude.
