#Fidel Castro warns of possible #nuclear war's harm to U.S. children, youths

HAVANA, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro Thursday said efforts should be made to prevent U.S. children and youths from being harmed by a possible U.S.-launched nuclear war against Iran.

"It's terrible to think that the minds and feelings of American children and youths will be mutilated by wars," Castro said in the second part of his "Reflection" entitled "Global Governance," published by the official media.

"We must fight now to avoid those young people to be taken into a nuclear holocaust, to maintain as much as possible their physical and mental health, and to create the ways in which human beings could be liberated from this terrible fate," he said.

Castro also referred to the book "The Secrets of Bilderberg Club" written by the Russian journalist Daniel Estulin.

Castro described the 475-page book as "fabulous" and "fantastic," said it "shatters the great gurus" including former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, British Finance Minister George Osborne, and presidents of Goldman Sachs, Coca Cola, France Telecom, Telefonica of Spain, Suez, Siemens, Shell and British Petroleum.

The Bilderberg Club, composed of many politicians, businessmen, kings and other influential people from all over the world, annually holds a behind-the-curtain meeting in an alleged global conspiracy to control global politics, economy and even culture.

Citing paragraphs from the book, Castro said the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was founded by the Bilderberg Club, and the Yom Kippur war in the Middle East was also devised by the group to influence the oil market.

The book also told how works of the British pop group The Beatles and the "New Age" culture were utilized to distract the U.S. public from political issues.

The MTV network was the perfect brainwashing machine created by the Bilderberg group to induce young people to hedonism and consumerism, Castro said.

The first Bilderberg conference was organized in 1954 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, while the most recent meeting was held in early June in Spain.
