TEHRAN, June 15 (Xinhua) -- An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday that despite all pressures against Tehran, the country will continue its peaceful nuclear activities within the framework of the international regulations, including those of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the official IRNA news agency reported. "In spite of all illogical and unwise pressures exerted by the West and the UN Security Council, the Islamic Republic of Iran will emphasize on its inalienable right which is the pursuance of peaceful nuclear energy," Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying by IRNA. The Islamic Republic, for its progress and development in different industrial, agricultural, medical and energy fields, has various programs for making use of peaceful nuclear technology, the spokesman said. Mehmanparast noted that Tehran will meet its nuclear demands from any possible way, according to IRNA. Last week, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution to impose a fourth round of sanctions against Iran to halt its suspected nuclear program. The United States and some other Western countries have accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons, a charge denied by Iran.
