Disney released a new photo Wednesday of Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter in the much anticipated children’s classic Alice In Wonderland.

The movie, shot in 3D is described as an “epic fantasy adventure” and stars Johnny Depp alongside Mia Wasikowska, as 19-year old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. In the movie Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and to end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.

Top honors went to TWILIGHT, which took home awards for Favorite Movie and Favorite Franchise

THE SKINNY: Vampires ruled the night of the 36th annual People's Choice Awards, with awards going out to TWILIGHT, TRUE BLOOD, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.

But TWILIGHT was the night's real winner. The popular vamp film series pulled four awards out of six nominations, including awards for Favorite Movie and Favorite Franchise.

Despite starring in both AVATAR and STAR TREK, actress Zoe Saldana lost out to tween sensation Miley Cyrus for the Breakout Actress award.

Johnny Depp, having claimed multiple People's Choice Awards over the past decade, was bestowed with the specially created Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade award.
