According to multiple sources, a Fairbanks boy has died apparenly from contracting the Swine Flu virus. The Anchorage Daily News seems to have the most comprehensive account. In it, health officials say the boy was sent home from school on Thursday with flu-like symptoms and was admitted to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital on Friday morning. The boy's condition kept rapidly worsening, and he died on Friday night after being medivacked to Anchorage. Later, he tested positive for the virus H1N1. Health officials are still conducting tests to determine whether or not there were underlying factors in the boy's death, but at this point, they think the virus likely caused it. Read the ADN account here (but take the headline's certain statement of causality with a tiny grain of salt).
