The funeral will be held privately and will be just for the troubled singer’s family and close friends.

Winehouse, 27, was found dead by a member of her security team in her London apartment Saturday.

Autopsy results released Monday were inconclusive and more tests are expected to be done to pin down Winehouse’s cause of death.

The talented star struggled publicly for years with drugs and alcohol abuse, and often sang about her bouts with addiction, as her best-selling album “Back to Black” chronicles.

Reports emerged over the weekend from friends and some witnesses that Winehouse had bought a cocktail of drugs, and had been heavily drinking in the hours before her death.

Since news of her death broke, fans have been gathering outside of her London home to add their personal tokens to a makeshift memorial.

Her family has reached out to fans mourning Winehouse’s death, thanking them for their support.

Winehouse’s father, Mitch, had quickly flown back from New York where he was scheduled to take part in a music tour. As media representatives followed him around, he slowly read some of the messages of condolence left outside his daughter’s home.

"I can't tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier for us," Winehouse's father told fans gathered outside her home.

There was no word as to when, or if, there would be a public funeral for the Grammy-winning singer.

Winehouse’s albums have increased a whopping 37-fold between the 24-hour period between Friday and Saturday, Official Charts Company Director Martin Talbot told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“While Amy has already had an impact on the Official Charts, we would expect an even bigger impact to roll through over the coming days,” said Talbot. “Such a demonstration of her popularity is the best tribute the British public can pay to this extraordinary British talent.”
