I’ll expound more on this in the weekly “What Have We Learned” post on Monday, but . . . Mark Richt’s job security just went to 50-50 with tonight’s two-score loss to Mississippi State. It’s one thing to have a brand-new defensive formation and a freshman QB, but Georgia has been in shaky personnel situations before and still managed to pull it out in the winnable games. At this point there’s not much you can point to that mitigates against a losing record, either in conference play or overall — and a bowlless season, which would be Georgia’s first in 14 years, might be enough to convince new athletic director Greg McGarity that it’s time for a new start. At this point, the majority of Dawg fans might agree with him.
