A British jeweller and Swiss model car maker have joined forces to create a solid gold toy-car-sized model of the world's most expensive road car.
And the pint-sized version of the Bugatti Veyron costs almost twice as much as the real thing.
The Bugatti Veyron Diamond Edition is just 1/18th scale of the real thing but costs £2 million. A brand new road-going Veyron comes in at £1.15 million.
Not for children: Despite being the size of a toy, this gold and diamond Bugatti Veyron costs £2 and would not be the sort of thing you'd let your children take to the park
Fully detailed: The doors work, the steering wheel moves the wheels, while the convertible hood is also operational. Just three of the golden Veyrons will be made
The model, in solid 24-carat gold and platinum, has a single cut 7.2-carat diamond set in the grill and weighs seven kilos.
It was created by jeweller Stuart Hughes, from Liverpool, in conjunction with Swiss luxury model car maker Robert Gulpen.
'Just three golden Veyrons will be made,' said Mr Hughes. 'This mammoth and very intricate job took two months to finish.'
Golden boy: Stuart Hughestakes must-have gadgets and makes them even more desirable by making pimped-up versions
The steering can turn and operate the wheels, while the convertible hood is also operational.
All detailing is an exact replica of the real thing. It comes with a certification of authenticity, glass house, aluminium case, and photo documentation of the manufacturing process.
Mr Hughes added: 'Design was already done by Robert Gulpen, he approached me for gold and diamond assessment.
'I've been doing cars for a long time so it was it was just a matter of time before I did something like this.
'I know it's almost twice the price of the real Veyron but our waiting list is not as long.'
Mr Hughes, 39, is no stranger to taking desirable objects and making them even more desirable.
His last project was to get his hands on an iPad before the rest of Britain and make a gold and diamond version of it.
He started creating gold versions of must-have gadgets with wife Katherine eight years ago.
Other stunning gizmos include a gold iPod, gold iPhone - and even a solid-gold Motorola handset for ageing yuppies who want to relive their glory days.
Hughes casts moulds in the shapes of the gadgets, before pouring in gold to complete the process, which can sometimes take up to six weeks.
The couple offer luxury customised gadgets, like diamond-encrusted Blackberrys, as well as the ultimate games console - a gold-plated Nintendo Wii 'Supreme' costing £300,000.
iLike: Most people would settle for just a run-of-the-mill iPad or iPhone, but Hughes's pimped up versions is extra special - complete with diamond-encrusted Apple logo
