Gaza's only Zoo is up for sale

Marah Land Gaza's impoverished zoo is in danger of closing down.

During Israel's 3 week war on Gaza in 2009, almost 90 per cent of the animals here were killed.

Since then, securing food, medicine and care for the few that survived has been a daily struggle for the zoo keepers.

So, along with its fatigued and war-stricken array of animals, it is now up for sale.
