'World needs global rules founded on shared global values', says Brown

Leaders meeting in London must supply the 'oxygen of confidence' to today's global economy and devise global rules for finance rooted in shared global values, Prime Minister said in a speech in St Paul's Cathedral. He was speaking as a BBC poll found broad support for reform of the international economic system. Meanwhile British religious leaders issued a joint communiqué urging the G20 not to forget their commitments to the world's poorest people.
